Peter Hodgkiss

AC member and publisher Peter Hodgkiss died on Sunday 31 January 2010 aged 73. Peter's Ernest Press has been joint publisher of the Alpine Journal since 1993. The classic appearance of the AJ over those years and quality of photo reproduction as the number of illustrations has increased has been down to countless hours of dedicated work by Peter. He was one of the great unsung volunteers of the club. Elected to the AC in 1988, he was diagnosed with cancer last summer but remained passionately involved with the journal until his final days. Funeral details have yet to be announced.
