Either week or both, this is a mid-season chance to ski untracked powder in quiet locations east of the Ecrins with many ski peaks to climb. 13 to 28 June - Spain ( Pyrenees) Benasque Joint AC/CC meet.
An early season warm-up for the Alps or just an opportunity to explore these remarkable mountains in their own right. There are lots of 3000 metre peaks with challenging ridge traverses and rock climbing to make up for their lack of glaciations as well as plenty of superb mountain walking. 1 to 25 July - Bolivia
La Paz is one of the highest cities in the world with some of the most beautiful 5000 - 6000 metre peaks in the Andes just a day or two of travelling away. The plan is to head out of the city on two or three multi-day camping trips to tackle classic peaks like Condoriri, Pequeno Alpamayo, Huayni Potosi, & Illimani in the Cordillera Real.
