Tuesday 09 February 2016
Mick Conefrey is an award-winning documentary film-maker and author of the well-received book Everest 1953 about which he spoke at the AC in November 2012.  He has now researched the dramas leading ultimately to the first successful ascent of K2, the world’s second highest mountain, based on interviews with surviving team members, their families and diaries and letters that have been archived.  His fascinating book, The Ghosts of K2, is being published in October 2015 and will be available for purchase on the night.
