This meet will be based in the Yorkshire Dales National Park at the Crag Hill Farm, Horton-in-Ribblesdale, Settle, North Yorkshire, BD24 0HW. The campsite has a fairly central location for the southern part of the park and adjacent areas. This will allow access to the western edges of Yorkshire Grit (around Skipton) and also a lot of very good limestone crags. There has been a lot of recent bolting by local activists on the limestone, giving lots of friendly quality lines in the F4s, F5s, F6s and F7s at crags such as Giggleswick, Stoney Banks, Robin Proctors, and Langcliffe. It is also centrally located for access to the classic major limestone venues at Malham, Gordale and Kilnsey, as well as grit and limestone trad at crags such as Attermire, Rylestone, Crookrise, Earl Crag and Widdop. The Rockfax Northern Limestone and Yorkshire Gritstone Volume 2 guides cover a lot of the crags and information will also be available on some of the newer limestone stuff. There are also options for walking, visiting show caves and excellent mountain biking if the weather is poor.
The meet will be joint with the CC.
