The Chilean Andes:

Mountain Evolution at a Tectonic Plate Boundary

Chair of the Alpine Club Library and Geology lecturer Philip Meredith takes us on a journey from the bowels of the earth to the peaks and ranges that are created by tectonic activity.

He will focus on the Chilean Andes, giving us a deeper insight into this range's geological history and the causes of its unique characteristics.

The talk will be held at the Alpine Club's premises at 55 Charlotte Road, London, EC2A 3QF from 7PM on 14 June 2022.

There is no official charge for entry, but we do ask those non-members who are able to make a small contribution to allow the lectures to keep running.
