Simon Richardson: South Georgia Expedition 2016
Tuesday 25 October 2022, 07:30pm
Tuesday 25 October 2022

The remote, inhospitable island of South Georgia has been a draw for climbers for many decades now.

With difficulty of access and extreme weather conditions, expeditions are not always successful. But in 2016, an expedition very much bucked that trend, making first ascents of Starbuck Peak and Mount Baume - two of the most technical and impressive peaks climbed on the island to date.

Simon Richardson will tell us more about this expedition and hopefully whet your appetite for your own South Atlantic adventures.
