AC SW lectures are restarting in November with an Evening of Climbing and Mountain Poetry, featuring Sarah-Jane Dobner, author of the 2021 Banff Literature Award book "A Feeling for Rock", with Terry Gifford, organiser of the annual Sheffield Mountain Literature Festival, and John Porter, former President of the Alpine Club and auther of "A Path of Shadows", which has been nominated for the 2023 Banff Mountain Literature Award in the Fiction and poetry category.

There will be music from Chris Storie and friends, with an open-mic session for local poets and climbers to add their voices to the theme.

Join us at the Nova Scotia on Friday 11 November in the upstairs room; doors open at 7pm for 7.30pm start; bar food available from 6.30pm.

Free entry to Alpine Club and Eagle Ski Club members and students. £5 for guests.
