Sir Brian Smith
We are saddened to learn of the death on 17 May 2023 of Professor Sir Brian Smith, a member since 1982.
Johanna Merz
We are saddened to announce the death on 26 June of Johanna Merz. She joined the club in 1986 and was Editor of the Alpine Journal from 1992 to 1998
John Doble
We have recently learned of the death on 1 April 2023 of John Doble, who was admitted to the club in 2006.

We have learned of the death on 2 May of Wing Commander Norman Ridley, a Full member for 60 years.
